In September 2002, the new Montecastillo Conference Centre was inaugurated, comprising 49 hotel rooms and 18 additional rooms, contained in individual, luxury villas. The central meeting and banqueting area of this complex, can hold up to 400 people and offers an array of flexibility of formats. It is the perfect location for large groups, product launches or conferences.

The continuing improvements to our Jack Nicklaus designed golf facilities, received a boost in May 2003, with the completion of the upgrading of our driving range. This is now a 'state of the art' practice area, comprising:

. 70 metres of covered practice bays, with Professionals' Office, drink supply and toilet facilities.

. New Reception-Office with comfortable furniture for rest breaks.

. New distance marking and signage, at 50, 100,150, 200 and 250 metres.

. 9 new target greens, with different coloured flags, all distance indicated on large information displays.

. The Driving Range has been re-shaped to create 'real play' situations, featuring two contoured fairways, divided by semi-rough.

At the South end of the Driving Range, we have inaugurated a VIP Academy, featuring the following facilities:

. Penn Cross Bent Putting Green.
. Chipping Area, with practice bunker.
. Two tees with 800 square metres of Bermuda Grass.
. Dedicated ball machine.
. Academy building, with space for video swing analysis and indoor meetings, small kitchen, toilets, shower, storage room and Professional's Office.

This new area, which will be serviced by a people carrier buggy, is available for rental by companies, golf professionals for holding private coaching sessions or for golf groups wishing privacy for practising. The area is suitable for up to 30 players at any one time and will only be designated for one group, during any period. Rental may be by the day, week or month, with an all-inclusive price, including unlimited range balls, soft drinks, water, coffee or tea and transport to and from the Hotel.
