a_ico_fleche.gif (102 octets) Where to stay

Hong Kong is an amazing compact city which skyline is, of course, the most striking feature, with its squeezed-together collection of harbour-side high rises that are familiar all around the world. And there are so many hotels that every visitor can find here the one that cater to his need. Some prefer to stay in Kowloon at or near to the famous Peninsula (and its fleet of 13 Rolls-Royces) to enjoy the Hong Kong skyline and other want to stay in the heart of the City of Life. Anyway, the local transport system from the Star Ferry to the Mass Transit Railway System, bus or taxis make it a cinch to get from one area to another quickly. In fact it is as easy to ride to the must-to-see icons as from Hong Kong Island as from Tsim Sha Tsui in Kowloon.

Nathan Road, in Tsm Sha Tsui, is known as the "Golden Mile" of Kowloon for its shop arcades, boutiques, restaurants and fantastic nightlife and the Holiday Inn Golden Mile is strategically located on the corner of Nathan and Mody Roads. The underground MTR (fastest way to move in Hong Kong) is adjacent to the hotel and the Star Ferry Terminal to Central and Wanchai is adjacent to Ocean Terminal Shopping Center at 5-minute walk away.

Awarded in 2002 by the Hong Kong Tourism Board for its services, Holiday Inn Golden Mile is the only one in the city to be awarded such a prestigious award as well as a silver medal for the "Best Four Star Hotel in Hong Kong" from the South China Morning Post. It is also recommended by the famous English Dorling Kinderley Travel Guide as one of the 10 Top hotels. The hotel offers 600 spacious guest rooms and suites with king-size beds, private marble bathroom and the musts of comfort. Three Executive Floors are dedicated to business traveler with an Executive Club Lounge. The spacious Lobby is luxurious but comfortable and elegant while the Avenue's gallery drives the guests directly to the bustly Nathan Road.

Avenue, restaurant and bar, at ground floor of the hotel, has been voted by the Hong Kong Tatler for five years consecutively one of the best of the city. It serves local modern cuisine food, combination of healthy produce and traditional European cuisine while Loong Yuen Cantonese Restaurant won a golf award in the "Best of the Best" Dim Sum over two hundred Hong Kong Chinese restaurants participating in the culinary competition organized by the HKTB. Cafe Vienna at mezzanine level overlooking Nathan and Mody Roads offers Western and Asian cuisine while Delicatessen Corner features variety of Austrian and German dishes and Hari's at Golden Mile is the most popular lounge/bar in Tsim Sha Tsui.
