Where to stay

Morocco offers a large choice of accomodation in any place of the country but Accor Hotels provides golf dream packages in exceptional Sofitel Hotels and golf courses

- Marrakech
On the edge of the city of thousands and one nights, at the foot of the High Atlas, the Sofitel Marrakech is located at an ideal place in the city. It is at walking distance from the Koutoubia, the place Jama el Fna, the Medina or Mohammed V avenue and it is at a few wheels distance from the main roads to get around the city.
The Sofitel Marrakech looks like a great Moorish palace with its immense lobby where a modern metal sculpture of the ancient water carrier of Jama el Fna square stays enthroned in the middle. In respect to Moroccan hospitality tradition every incomer is given the “marahba” (welcome) cup of mint tea to sip quietly in a comfortable armchair while registration procedure is on the way. Throughout the widely open high door windows the view goes from the flourished gardens and the pool to the snow white peaks of the Atlas mountains.
The hotel counts 260 rooms and 62 suites with terrace or balcony and views of the nearby mountains, swimming pool and gardens. All rooms are air conditioned, and have all modern comfort equipment. Outside and inside pool, gymnasium, Jacuzzi, Turkish bath, massage, beauty salon make the life easier. Facilities for meetings and seminars.
The restaurant l’Orangerie at the first floor proposes gourmet cuisine of thematic flavoured recipes; the Palmier; near the pool, serves international cuisine and local Moroccan specialties while the Oasis is dedicated to light food and snacks. Meeting facilities, disco and 3 bars.

Dining out at Al Fassia (the Fes woman) on Mohammed V avenue is where the very local people come to taste delicate Fesian cuisine (soup, salads. pidgeon, lamb...)

- Essaouira
The bay of Essaouira and its immense white sand beach surrounding the Purpuraires islands is known as an ideal paradise postcard. Facing the beach and the city, the Sofitel Mogador streches its Moroccan façade, twincolored in red and blond ochres wich where the original colors of the ancient Mogador. Nevertheless it is a recent hotel inspired by the traditional ryad architecture with 117 rooms spread around the immense ellipsoidal outside pool. Furniture are made of thuya and citrus gnarl by local souiri handicrafts and bath room are decorated with blue and white local mosaics.
International cuisine or “low fat” dishes are served at l’Arganier, the mosaic decorated inside hotel restaurant around a multicoloured fountain. In the “Restaurant de la Plage” which opens its picture windows directly on the beach on the other side of the road, fresh fished seafood and fishes are served grilled or stewed in typical “tajine”.
Near the pool, the Sofitel Mogador has opened in 2001 an ultra-modern thalassotherapia institute going from the traditional hammam and its 3 room (cold, tepid and warm) to the whole range of cares (algotherapia, jet, forceful or submarine showers, affusion, massage, water massage, etc..). Very good for golfers who want to make a breack or a reshaping!

Dining out on the fishermen's quay at Chez Sam (soup, grilled fish, lobster) or at Le Coquillage (special seafood or fish tajine)
