The Golf course is a small 9-hole which has been designed by Graham Marsh and does not pretend more than being a training course. It has the great advantage of being part of the hotel located on a hill with a beautiful view over the Turtle bay. It is even a good training for confirmed golfers as some holes are tricky like the 9 th par-3 which green is hidden behind a bridge and trees.

at 12 kms from Port-Louis (60 from the airport), is located on the private historical estate Balaclava along Turtle Bay which is the first Marine National Park of Mauritius. It is bordered by natural scenery between the River Citron which flows down from dams and cascades to the lagoon, the white sandy beach protected by a coral reef and a range of picturesque mountains. At Le Maritim, everything is clean and clear and all of 180 rooms have sea view. Dining at Belle Vue offers also sea view with its different buffets or barbecues.
Special notice for the quality of the two other restaurants: Mon Desir, formal, dedicated to gourmet and "just married" coming for enjoying original meals issued from the combination of occidental and oriental cuisines. And La Marée serving fine seafood meals has been awarded best Mauritius Hotels' beach restaurant. A quartet of Mauritian minstrels brings live creole music and its cheerful notes...

- The Tamarina Golf Estate,
is the first residential resort on the island. It lies in the south-west on about 250 ha of wild savannah between sea and mountains near the Tamarind Bay . Overlooking the blue waters of the bay, the Black river and the Rempart river are passing through. The estate was in the past time a stag hunting place.
The course has been designed by Rodney Wright who has used the bumps and rumps of the ground to make the course more exciting for players of any skill (there are five different tee shots at each hole) while managing its spectacular character. On one side, the Mount Rempart (like a small Matterhorn) and the chain of rocky needles form natural dramatic scenery while the river gorges offer spectacular view points like at the par-3 signature hole 13 and at the 7 dominated by the Rempart.
Open in 2006, the management thinks already about the second course and the future shortcut road which will be a direct junction to Wolmar and its hotels.
Where to stay around
Number of hotels have settled along the Wolmar beach on the community of Flic en Flac and many golfers are staying at the Sofitel*****. but there is a large choice of accommodation.

is located at the end of Wolmar's beach road but overlooks the beach with the most beautiful wide views across the lagoon and the Tamarind Bay to the famous mountains of Le Morne. With 92 deluxe rooms and suites, it a small size resort but intimate for people seeking quietness and relax facing the sea. Many activities, including golfing, are at a driving shot distance for those who like it.
Indian cuisine focusing on flavours and spices of the Indian Ocean is served at the well called Intimate Spices: it is known for offering alligator in a coco sauce with wild rice or South African ostrich. - Le Hilton Resort and Spa*****
offers 103 rooms and suites dispatched in 14 pavilions with a pitch-and-put, sort of minigolf under the palm trees. Proud to host the largest spa in the region, this great international chain is well-known for hosting the world of business, but does not really understand that leisure hotels need preferably flexibility and smile than cold accounting spirit (even from Harvard). The scenery and entertainment are pretentious and the profusion of flower petals hides some fault (in the basin). The insipid cuisine of the Ginger Thai doesn't match with its appetizing name and the beach is short of chairs.
