n_ico_balle.gif (1069 octets)  Where to play

Even if many of the thirty golf courses are reserved to their members, Singapore is nevertheless a golf destination as some of those courses accept visitors (under certain conditions which have to be consulted by mail, phone or with the concierge) and ten courses, largely open, are located at one hour transfer from the city.

- in Singapore

The Sentosa Golf Club is undisputedly Singapore 's most beautiful golf club with two scenic and challenging golf courses.

- The Serapong Course has been voted Singapore's best course in 2005 and one of the top 5 golf courses in Asia . Serapong underwent upgrading in 2001 and has played host to the Singapore Open in 2005, Asia richest National Open. In April 2006, Serapong has also been the only Asian venue to play host to the qualifying rounds of the British Open. Hole 15 th par-5 is exceptional.

- The Tanjong Course, opened in 1972, - designed by Frank Penninck and remodelled in 1993 - was nominated Singapore 's best golf course for three Consecutive years from 1997. It features natural hazards, freshwater lakes, towering trees, mounds and bunkers as well as undulating fairways with narrow landing areas. Playing the Tanjong course is memorable against the alluring South China Sea backdrop, specially the n°2 par-3 ends on the seafront.

The Raffles Country Club , just at 25 minute drive from Singapore's CBD, lies on the last bastions of unspoilt nature in this urban nation. Situated amidst 146 hectares of luscious land with tranquil lake and rolling green hills beyond, Raffles Country Club has two 18-hole golf courses: the Lake Course and the Palm Course designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr and opened in 1988. The Palm Course has been the venue for the Asian PGA Championship in 1997 and 1998. Graceful Chinese Egrets and brilliantly coloured Kingfishes now share the spectacular scenery of lush green fields and forested hills with the sportsmen.

The Golden Boys who work in the buildings of the CBD have a new golf course in their sight, the Marina Bay Golf Course which opened on Nov 1 st 2006. Undisputedly it is now the course in the heart of town providing accessibility and convenience to all golfers who can get to enjoy the cityscape. What's more, it offers attractive golfing rates and golfers have to pay only green fees but no membership, subscription or admission fee. They just have to produce their latest official handicaps.

The Laguna National Golf and Country Club is a premier golf club in Singapore . Its courses are ranked among the top courses in the world. However, Laguna National is more than just a golf club. As a prestigious country club, it also offers a comprehensive range of amenities like food and beverage outlets, social and recreational facilities which also includes a resort spa.
