- Living in Uruguay : The country offers better security than most locations in Latin America and Central America . There are no racial, religious or other conflicts and public meetings are generally peaceful.

- Driving in Uruguay : Urugayen drivers are no Argentinean “Fangios”, nor Chilian “crazy bus drivers”. Driving is easy and quiet and vehicle circulation is relatively fluid even in urban centers. Being a small country, distances are quite short.

- Car documentation : special toll documentation and international insurance for foreigners entering in Uruguay with their own car or with a rental car from a foreign country. Information at ferry company’s office before departure.
